The Symbol is a 128 pages book with full color photograph, it is about 20x20 cm sized. The texts are written in Spanish, English, German and Italian.
Its writers, the biologists Nathan Dappen, Neil Losin and the zoologist Valentín Pérez-Mellado, spend the 2012 summer in Ibiza studying and collecting information of the characteristics, the habits and the symbology of this reptile that inhabited the island long before the humans.
The result of this journey is a rigorous work, for the studies and experience of its authors, but entertaining since it has an informative purpose and the objective of preserving this marvellous ecosystem continuously threatened by the human pressure.
As they say, "The wall lizards represent the beauty, complexity and fragility of the life in the Pitiuse archipielago".
